Rohan Pandey

I'm a Product Owner (Engineer 2) at McKinsey & Company working on developing next generation AI-powered spend analytics in digital procurement. Additionly, I have recently conducted research with collaborators at Shiv Nadar University and Healthcare Innovations and Translational Informatics (HITI) Lab at Emory University . Prior to that, I conducted research in TavLab at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi. In 2021, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Shiv Nadar University, India with High Distinction.

I am broadly interested in conducting research to make machine learning systems more robust and reliable so that they can work in the wild. I am interested in the many societal applications of such systems – with demonstrated experience in ML for healthcare.

Selected Projects
Generalizing CNNs for Chest X-Rays

Evaluated different architectural choices in CNNs to study their effect on model generalization to external datasets (Varying Dense layer size, Dropout, Regularization, Batch Normalization, and Max/Avg Pooling).

Human Activity Prediction

Predicted groups within human activities using clustering algorithms (K-means and Agglomerative). Trained LSTMs (Stacked, Bi-directional, etc) to predict sensor readings, achieving a lowest MAE of 0.090.

Social Media Analyzer

Developed web application to aggregate insights (sentiment & labels) from public social media profiles.
