Rohan Pandey
I am a PhD student at the Bio-NLP lab at the Manning College of Information & Computer Sciences at UMass, Amherst fortunate to be advised by Hong Yu. My current research interests have a strong focus on making machine learning systems more robust and reliable for real-world applications, particularly in healthcare. My research aims to bridge the gap between theoretical models and practical, deployable solutions in medical contexts.
Before embarking on my PhD journey, I most recently spent 2.5 years at McKinsey & Company, where I was most recently leading the development of AI-powered spend analytics within digital procurement as a product owner. I completed my undergraduate studies in Computer Science & Engineering from Shiv Nadar University, India, graduating with High Distinction. I have also spent time conducting research at HITI Lab, Emory University and TavLab, IIITD.
I am passionate about mentoring young professionals and students, helping them navigate their academic and career paths.
